Description

It is used in the treatment of inflammatory-infectious diseases that are caused by Doxycycline Doxee sensitive microflora. Doxee is used in the treatment of respiratory diseases such as pharyngitis, acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, tracheitis, lung abscess, lobar pneumonia, and pleural empyema. It is used in the treatment of ENT organisms: tonsillitis, otitis media and sinusitis.

Doxycycline is used in the treatment of infections of the genitourinary system, such as pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethrocystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, urogenital mycoplasmosis, gonorrhea, and acute orchiepididy.

It is also used in the treatment of infections of the biliary tract, infections of soft tissues and skin, infections of the eyes, syphilis, frambesia, yersiniosis, legioellosis, rickettsiosis, and chlamydia with various localization.

Side effect

On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, dysphagia, glossitis, esophagitis, transient increase in blood levels of hepatic transaminases, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin. From the hematopoietic system: neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia. Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, eosinophilia, rarely – angioedema, photosensitization. Other: an increase in residual nitrogen, candidiasis, intestinal dysbiosis, discoloration of teeth in children. In some cases, blood pressure drops.

Special instructions

Doxee is used with caution in liver dysfunction. In case of impaired renal function, dose adjustment is not required. To prevent local irritating action (esophagitis, gastritis, ulceration of the gastrointestinal tract), it is recommended to take in the daytime with a large amount of liquid, food. In connection with the possible development of photosensitization, it is necessary to limit insolation during treatment and for 4–5 days after it.

Doxycycline is not used in children under 8 years of age, since tetracyclines (including doxycycline) cause long-term discoloration of the teeth, enamel hypoplasia and a slowdown in the longitudinal growth of skeletal bones in this category of patients.

Doxycycline solution for on / in the introduction should be used no later than 72 hours after its preparation.
