Description

Azab 500 is a semi-synthetic antibiotic, the first representative of the azalide subclass, somewhat different in structure from the classical macrolides.

Obtained by modifying 14-membered macrolides by incorporating a nitrogen atom into the lactone ring between 9 and 10 carbon atoms, the ring then becomes 15-membered. This restructuring causes a significant increase in the acid resistance of the drug – 300 times compared with erythromycin.

Azab 500 INDICATIONS

Infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to azithromycin, including infections of the respiratory tract and ENT organs (acute pharyngitis and tonsillitis; scarlet fever; acute otitis media; acute sinusitis; acute bronchitis, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia); infections of the skin and subcutaneous adipose tissue (erysipelas, impetigo, secondarily infected dermatosis); infections of the urinary tract and genital organs (acute nonspecific (chlamydial) or gonococcal urethritis, cervicitis, colpitis).

Azab 500 APPLICATION

Inside for 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Adults with infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract, skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue are prescribed on the 1st day of treatment 500 mg in 1 dose, from the 2nd to the 5th day – 250 mg 1 time per day; in acute sexually transmitted infections, it is often enough to take 1 g of azithromycin once.
