Description

Testogel Cernos Gel contains testosterone active ingredient, which is the same as the natural testosterone male hormone.

Testosterone is known as androgen. It is produced by the testes and is the main hormone necessary for normal growth and development of the male genital organs and male sexual characteristics.

Natural production of testosterone is controlled by another set of hormones called gonadotropins, which are released from the pituitary gland in the brain.

During adulthood, testosterone is needed for sperm production, maintaining sexual desire, erectile activity and the functioning of the prostate gland and other reproductive structures. It also has functions in the skin, muscles, skeleton, kidney, liver, bone marrow and the central nervous system.

Low testosterone levels can lead to decreased sexual desire, impotence, infertility due to decreased sperm production, decreased mental and physical activity, fatigue and weakened bones (osteoporosis). Testosterone is prescribed as replacement therapy when the level of natural testosterone drops too low, causing problems such as above.

Natural testosterone levels slowly fall with age and quickly fall after surgical removal of the testicles (for example, in the treatment of testicular cancer). They can also fall due to a decrease in testicular function (hypogonadism or enuchoidism) caused by a testicular disease, or a decrease in pituitary gonadotropin production as a result of pituitary disease.

Replacing testosterone allows natural testosterone levels to return to normal, which alleviates the symptoms of a deficiency.

Testogel is applied with a thin layer on the skin. Testosterone is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.
